Over the past day, I got three calls from numbers that only differed by the last two digits - something like 65 and 72 - all on my mobile (which ironically, I barely carry about). When I asked the caller to slow down and be clearer, he claimed his name was Mike (the accent didn't quite match, but you never know) and said he was ringing from the Three network with an offer to slash my next bill. How did I respond? I told him straight up, sounded like a scam to me. He then wanted to know what my last bill was, but I told him I never had one with Three. That’s when he just hung up.
