Hey all, Quick heads up from the admin here. We've noticed that loads of poor reviews for this number (02032874277) are coming in, and they’re all from the same person. Interestingly, that same IP address is posting positive feedback for 02032862617. Looks like both numbers belong to Indian call centres, probably rivals. The IP traces back to Amritsar in Punjab, India. Cheers, Admin

It usually kicks off the same way: the phone rings at a business and the person on the line - often speaking with an Indian accent - asks to speak to the manager, even quoting their name and address. Then they claim they're calling from British Gas, Eon, or Npower, saying your energy contract is due for renewal and they'll offer the best rates. After that, they'll try to convince you to share all your details from the bill. They’ll ask for bank info under the pretense of setting up direct debit. Once you hand over your banking info, they’ll take money straight from your account electronically. So, don’t ever give out personal details to these callers. Instead, contact your energy provider directly using the number on your bill to stay protected. Cheers, Smith

Some Indian guy called me, but his English was all over the place and hard to follow. He sounded like he had a Nepali accent or something. Honestly, I reckon it was one of those dodgy scam calls.

Just got a call off some bloke called James, trying to flog me something. He said if I signed up with direct debit I'd get a massive 99% off. Kept pushing for my banking info, total scammer if you ask me.

Been getting nonstop calls from numbers with Indian accents, usually from something like +220202020 or blocked. They throw in some info that sounds kinda legit but it’s not British Gas or anything to do with my business electric contract. They mentioned a bloke called Will who’d answer on 2032874277. Don’t give them any info - just ring your supplier directly. I chatted with this "Abhisheik" today, who claimed to be a Senior Manager, and before that some guy called Tommy rang. Also, funny how they post glowing reviews themselves... praising themselves isn’t the same as a real recommendation at all.

Received a rather peculiar call from someone named Khota Singh, or Ravi as he referred to himself, attempting to peddle some Aviva condoms. He was offering a ludicrous 99% discount if I signed up for a direct debit. Clearly fishing for my banking details, this chap is nothing short of a crafty scammer!

So this bloke called me claiming to be Will, trying to get me to renew my gas and electricity deal with N power. I told him my current contract doesn’t finish until 2019, right? Then outta nowhere he starts pushing these ‘Energetic C*ND*MS’ saying they’ll boost energy for me and my mum so we can enjoy better, uh, intimate moments. He even dangled a 7% discount if I set up direct debit. I couldn’t stop chuckling - now there’s all kinds of energy options, apparently, even these Energetic C*ND*MS... honestly, what a laugh!

This guy’s a total time waster... keeps ringing up and giving out different names like Will, James, Mac, no clue what his real name is. You can probably work out who he really is. Best to just block him and ignore - he’s just got nothing better to do and throws out rubbish lines. Lazy minds cause all sorts of trouble, honestly.

Today, I got a ring from someone claiming to be from British Gas. The bloke said his name was Abishek, sounded like he was from India with a really dodgy accent. He kept going on about some deal, trying to convince me to sign up for a contract, but it all felt like a total scam. What a muppet, honestly lol!

I first joined up with you about a year back, kinda cautious cause I’d had a bad run with another broker before. But now after signing on with you two more times, I really trust what you’ve done for me. Honestly, I couldn’t care less what others say about you. Will Christmas, you’re the one I actually enjoy chatting with! If you were nearby I’d give you a massive hug! Thanks a lot for all your help. Bless you, mate!

Really awful ordeal with these lot. They teamed up with NPower for some dodgy switch that ended up costing me loads over several months. Non-stop calls trying to sort it out, but it felt like going round in circles. Every call I'd get someone nice who’d say sorry and throw out some empty lines like “this shouldn’t happen” or “we’re working on it” - but honestly, nothing changed. Still haven’t got my money back. Their systems seem totally out of touch with what customers need, despite the friendly front they put on. One agent even said they’d sort the repayment, but then disappeared on holiday without passing it on. So after a couple of weeks, I’m back to square one having to chase it all again. This was just one mess in a string of screw-ups. Don’t trust any promises they make - only believe what actually happens.

Got a call today from a bloke named Raj, sounded Indian, claiming to be from Eon Energy wanting to renew my gas and electric. When I asked for my account number, he couldn't give it. I told him he wasn’t really from Eon, then he got all threatening, saying he'd cut off my power in half an hour. After that, he started swearing at me in really bad English. I rang my husband straight away and told him everything - he says he's gonna report it to the police. Honestly, it was such a horrible experience. No clue where they’re calling from or how they got my number. Govt really needs to step in and put a stop to this kind of thing. I'm proper shook up.

I received a rather alarming call from this number today. The person on the other end, speaking with a strong Indian accent, asserted that he was representing British Gas, trying to discuss a new tariff for my upcoming contract. However, when I politely declined, his tone took a nasty turn. He became quite aggressive, even going so far as to threaten me with disconnection of my electricity supply! Such unacceptable behaviour! I intend to take this matter to the police without delay.

I keep getting calls from a guy with a strong Asian accent who says he’s from EON, but when I checked with the company, they denied it. The bloke’s really pushy and quite annoying, calling me every single day despite me asking him to stop. He got quite nasty too, accusing me of lying when I told him the person he asked for wasn’t here. Honestly, he sounds like someone who could easily trick a vulnerable person into giving away private info. Such a waste of time and completely rude.

Oi, seriously, put in your own effort instead of just ripping off someone else’s words. Don’t be a weak imitator, come up with something original for once.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be British Gas, saying my contract needs renewing. But when I rang up British Gas myself, they told me they have no connection with those callers. Sounds like a scam to me. Told them to stop phoning me or I’ll have to report them to the police.

I received a call from this number and the chap on the other end had a strong Indian accent. To be honest, it felt a bit dodgy to me. I advise steering clear of sharing any personal details with them. Stay safe!

This number called me today claiming to be from British Gas. I ended the call but then they rang right back and started shouting at me. Honestly, it frightened me a lot. I'm definitely going to report both the number and the company behind it.

I just got the confirmation letter from British Gas for my electricity and gas deal, and the prices match what I agreed to on the phone. Pretty smooth process so far!

I got a call from this number, a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was Alex Parker. He claimed to be from 'Make it Cheaper' and was offering to give me some prices for our company’s electricity contract. We do actually use 'Make it Cheaper' for that, but the way he spoke was nothing like the usual calls we get from them, plus he rang through our fax line which seemed odd. I told him to ring back the next day when I’d have all the paperwork ready. Afterwards, I called 'Make it Cheaper' myself to confirm if the call was legit. They hadn’t heard of anyone contacting us and said their reps always provide a reference number when they call.
When he phoned again the next day, he couldn’t give me our reference number or send any details by email, so I ended the call.
