Just had another one of those silent calls from some scammer. Seriously, BT should really crack down on this by now. They’ve got the tech to stop these but they choose not to cuz they earn every time a call goes through - even if it’s a scam! Ridiculous.

I received a call earlier from someone claiming to be from BT Technical Support. He insisted that my computer was being compromised and urged me to log onto my PC immediately. I made a note of his number and informed him that I’d ring back later...

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from BT, saying my laptop was hacked. He wanted me to turn it on so he could supposedly sort it out. Honestly, don't fall for it - it's definitely a scam.

a guy with an asian accent rang me saying he was from bt and that someone was hacking into my computer. i’ve been getting these scam calls nearly twice every week for the past month, so i began questioning him loads about his identity. he gave me a phone number when i asked but then cut me off. when i tried checking the last caller by dialling 1471, nothing showed up.

I received a call regarding a BT Broadband issue, and it happened to be from a London number. The person on the other end cheerfully provided their number, seemingly unaware that this would only heighten my doubts. A call from BT in London? That's quite unusual for me!
