Phone number ☎️ 02032871141 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers impersonating Royal Mail or HM Revenue and Customs, often using the victim’s real name and phone number to lend credibility. The callers claim a parcel is held due to unpaid postage or customs fees, requesting small payments or personal details, sometimes pressing for email addresses to send payment links. They frequently hang up abruptly when questioned about parcel or sender details, or when challenged. Many warn against providing any payment or personal information, advising to block the number and report suspicious calls. The scam exploits the expectation of parcel deliveries and employs varying accents or automated voices, with no legitimate Royal Mail procedure involving phone requests for postage payment. Caution and verification through official channels are strongly recommended.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Royal Mail and that they'd got a parcel waiting for me in London. From what I know, Royal Mail usually gets stuff delivered way faster when it's just a few hundred miles away, so I was suspicious. They wanted my email address, so I just gave a made-up one, and then they just dropped the call. Pretty fishy if you ask me!

Got a call from 0203287114 claiming to be Royal Mail. They already had my name, the weird bit was when I told them I wasn’t waiting on any delivery, they just cut me off. Definite scam vibes.

Somebody rang me telling me I needed to pay postage for a parcel. When I asked them to confirm my postcode, she said she had no idea. Then I asked how they even got my number in the first place and she replied it was on the parcel, which sounded weird. I then pointed out it was odd she had my phone number but not my address, and she just stammered. Told her to just send it back to the sender. Pretty sure this is a scam.

I just got a call from this number and I'm pretty sure it’s a scam. Some woman who claimed to be from Royal Mail started by saying they had a parcel for me, and they wanted me to follow some steps to sort it out. She actually knew my name and phone number, which seemed off since there’s no way they could really have that info. I tried asking questions, but she wouldn’t answer anything and just hung up when I didn’t do what she said. The voice sounded kind of robotic, especially how she said my last name - it was all weird and broken up, like some dodgy software was trying to speak it.

Watch out, this is definitely a scam. They got hold of my credit card details and took £480 from my account. They claimed to be from Royal Mail and tricked me into giving them my payment info. I’ve already reported it and an investigation is underway. Don’t fall for it and avoid answering their calls!

Somebody rang me saying they were with Royal Mail, and strangely they had my name and number (which I find odd since RM doesn’t usually have phone numbers linked to parcels). They claimed I owed postage on a package I never heard of. I said that if there was an issue, I’d get a card through my letterbox from Royal Mail and I’d sort it out properly at the post office. They just ended the call after that.

Someone said they were calling from Royal Mail about a parcel stuck at a depot down in South London, saying I had to pay some postage. As soon as I told them I don’t live anywhere near South London, they just dropped the call on me.

Got a call claiming I had a parcel waiting at some place called Royal Mail London "Dee po" - bit odd, thought Royal Mail just used sorting centres and didn’t charge postage like that. They asked for £1.50, which they said would unlock the package if I gave my card info, or else if I gave my email, they’d send instructions on how to pay and apparently deliver a virus to my laptop or phone at the same time. I hung up straight away, but I can easily see how some folks might fall for it - she sounded pretty convincing apart from her accent.

Just like the others, I got a call about a parcel supposedly waiting for me and they wanted £1.40 to release it. I asked for either the sender’s details or my address they claimed to have, but she couldn’t provide either. I said this sounded dodgy and ended the call. Seems I wasn’t wrong at all.

Total rip off, honestly. Probably a 2 out of 10 from me. Needs a lot of work before I’d trust it again.

Had a call from a woman claiming to be with the Royal Mail, her English was quite poor and sounded foreign. She wanted me to pay £1.65, but she said pounds not pence, to sort out some customs fees. When I asked for the sender or receiver address, she couldn’t give me any. I told her I wouldn’t pay without knowing what it was about and asked her to email me the info instead. She just ended the call right after.

I got a call from a lady who said she was from Royal Mail, and somehow she already knew my full name. She told me there was a problem with a parcel I had lost and wanted me to start the process to get it back. When I asked who the sender was, she dodged the question and then asked me again who the sender was. Then, the call just ended out of nowhere. Honestly, it’s worrying thinking someone might have my personal details and who knows what they're doing with them >:(

Got a ring from this number, sounded like an Asian lady talking super fast. I couldn’t catch what she said at first, so I asked her where she was calling from. She said something about Royal Mail and an Apple product ready to be delivered. I told her I wasn't expecting any parcels, then quickly added how annoying it is getting calls like this from scammers. I lost it and told her to stop calling or else, and then they just hung up on me. Number was 020 3287 1141. Honestly, these people need to be stopped. Just a heads up to everyone out there, there’s loads of these dodgy calls going round!

This number rang me pretending to be from the Royal Mail, saying I needed to pay a charge because my parcel supposedly didn’t have a stamp. I was a bit panicked since I was expecting a delivery from a close friend and figured maybe the postage was missing. I almost went ahead and paid the fee, but right as I had to enter some kind of authorisation code, I decided to look up the number online. That’s when I found it was a scam. Luckily I stopped the payment just in time. Big thanks to everyone who shared their experience with this number - you really helped me steer clear of a big problem!

Got a ring from someone saying they were Royal Mail, asking for my card info over a parcel that apparently had no postage. They claimed the package was at the sorting centre on 53 Nine Elms Lane. I checked and that place has been sold off and is actually being knocked down for new buildings. Never trust random calls asking for your banking info. Never hand over payment info on a phone call you didn't expect!

Got a call from someone pretending to be Royal Mail, telling me they were holding a parcel at the Nine Elms Lane Mail Centre because I hadn’t paid the postage. Total con! For starters, Royal Mail doesn’t have my phone number to call me like that. Also, if there really was any postage unpaid, they’d normally just pop a card through my letterbox explaining what’s needed and where to collect the parcel from, so there’s no way this was legit.

Got a call from a woman with a strange accent, who knew my name but I couldn't place where she was from. She said there was a parcel being held for me and offered to explain how to collect it. Got a call from someone saying they were Royal Mail, asking for a £1 fee to deliver a parcel. I told them to just send it back or drop a card through the door like usual. When I started explaining, they kept cutting me off with nonsense about Covid. That’s when I snapped, told them to stop interrupting and that they’re clearly a bunch of scammers who should jog on. I was in no mood for their tricks. Sometimes I mess around and keep these types hanging on the line for ages. Honestly, it’s obvious they're pulling a scam!
