Got a call from someone claiming they were from o2, trying to trick me into a phone contract scam. Definitely not the real deal.

I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number. After looking it up later, it turned out to be a dodgy one. Pretty relieved I ignored it.

Got a call, supposedly from O2, with an Asian lady saying they were doing a system upgrade and I’d be sent a new SIM, the old one would get blocked. Claimed no fees were needed and because it was their fault, I could get 30% off my bill. Then she put me on hold to ‘transfer’ me to refunds. I hung up and blocked the number, but before I managed that, they rang back straight away and left an answerphone message full of background noise, clearly from some call centre.

The call had all the signs of a typical call centre - there was a lot of noise in the background. The woman speaking had an Asian accent. I decided to just block the number straight away.
