They acted like they were from Klarna, and honestly, it sounded pretty convincing. They said someone from Liverpool had gotten into my account. I nearly fell for it, right up until they mentioned sending me a one-time code and wanted to boost my phone's security. That's when I got suspicious.

Got a call from a woman with an accent and pretty bad English saying she was from O2, trying to give me some 40% discount or something. She wanted me to confirm my account details, sounded like a total phishing attempt. When I asked her some questions, she just hung up on me. Honestly, I’m so tired of these scam calls constantly disturbing me.

Got a message claiming to be from Barclays asking if I’d added a new payee, giving a name and telling me to ring a number if I hadn’t. I called, they answered as Barclays, but when I explained the text and said I hadn’t set anything up, they just hung up on me! I didn’t call from the same phone either. Definitely a scam, don’t bother replying if you get one like this!

The woman on the phone said she was from Vodafone, but I dont even have their service. She mentioned some kind of free year of billing, but insisted on confirming my details - asked for my email, name, and billing info. I told her if this deal is really for this number, then why does she need my personal info? She just kept saying it was for verification and didnt really answer me properly. I ended the call quickly, sounds like a scam to me.

I received a call purporting to be from Vodafone, offering a rather enticing 30% discount. Given that my bill barely exceeds £10 a month and I've just sorted out my contract, I found it rather dubious. The caller was speaking at a rapid pace, apart from when he mentioned the discount, and his overall tone was rather aggressive-definitely not in keeping with the courteous service I've always experienced from Vodafone. He pressed me for my email address, and when I declined, citing that this was an unsolicited call, he became increasingly insistent under the guise of “security reasons.” His repetitive command of "Listen to me" was quite off-putting. He claimed he already possessed my email and just needed to verify my identity, prompting me to suggest he send the information via email. He bluntly asserted that the offer was exclusive to phone calls, which I found utterly unreasonable, maintaining my stance. His persistence grew more intrusive, and after yet another forceful “Listen to me," I finally told him I didn’t believe him and ended the call. This number appears to be a landline, and considering the numerous reports that have surfaced, isn’t there a way for the landline provider to eliminate this number, as it seems to be linked to fraudulent activities? My 93-year-old aunt is quite astute with her mobile phone, and I’m confident she wouldn’t fall for such trickery. Alas, many individuals, particularly those facing financial difficulties, may be more susceptible to this type of con.

Oh dear! A chap calling himself 'Sebastian' buzzed me, trying to lure me in with a 40% discount. Given that my monthly bill's just a fiver or so, it hardly makes a dent, does it? I had a good laugh when he messed up the name of my provider. I told him that if he were genuine, he'd have all my info at his fingertips, but it seems that's too much to ask. Honestly, the audacity of these people is utterly ridiculous. They're nothing but a bunch of brazen, thieving knaves!

I received a call from this number, but I chose to let it ring out. They later left a voicemail, but oddly enough, there was nothing on it. This makes the third time I’ve been contacted by them, and each time I've simply brushed it off.

Got a call from an Indian guy who said he was with O2. When I told him he wasn’t, he kept insisting he was from O2 offers and then just ended the call. Typical scammer stuff. Blocked the number straight away.

Be wary, folks! I just received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be with O2, and they tried to get me to disclose a code. Whatever you do, don’t give them that code! If you do, it could let them into your account. Stay safe!

This number keeps calling me relentlessly. I've decided to ignore it from now on, and I'm planning to block it altogether.

Got a call from someone saying they were from O2 and that I could get 30% off my bill. They even mentioned how much I usually pay and an email I use, but it just felt like a total scam!!

Got a call from this landline earlier. The guy was saying I could get 30% off my Vodafone bill. Then he started asking for personal details. Totally felt like a scam, so I just ended the call!

I got a call from this number saying they were Vodafone and trying to give me 30% off my phone bill. I asked them to confirm my name to prove it was legit, but they said they couldn’t share that info. So, I just hung up.

Received a call from someone masquerading as O2. Instantly suspicious, I asked who was on the line, as I was certain it wasn’t a legitimate O2 number. They just flatly denied it and then promptly disconnected. Very dodgy!

I didn’t buy into this one coz the accent was super obvious. The guy said he was from Vodafone and wanted to verify my info, but then said he wasn’t after any personal data. I didn’t give him a thing. He was trying to sell me 30% off my mobile bill each month.

I ignored it, never really trust calls from landlines in parts of the country I’ve got no connection to.

I got a phone call earlier and I'm only 14, they said they were from O2 and offered me 40% off my bill. I knew it was dodgy straight away because they asked for my bank info, but I dont even have a proper bank account yet. So if you get a call like that, just hang up, block the number and make sure you report it.

Got a bloke claiming to be from O2, trying to sell me a contract and sending texts to check my number. My English ain’t great, but his is just rubbish to follow. Feels like a total SCAM 02032869349 can’t be a legit company.

Got a dodgy call saying it was O2 offering me 30% off my bill. Told them I was waiting on a call from O2 fraud about some earlier scam attempts and then they just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

Definitely a scam phone call. The guy sounded Indian and was trying to sell me a 30% Vodafone discount. I told him he was a fraud, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away.

I just had a call providing me with a 30% discount. Strangely enough, I received a similar offer from Leicester just the day before!

Right from the start, I felt something was off coz the call began with "hello ma'am how are you" spoken with a strong Indian accent. She didn't even ask to speak to me or the actual account holder, just claimed to be from O2 and said I could get a 30% discount on my plan. I asked her to send the info over and she hung up straight away. Blocked the number afterwards.

Never saw the number so I ignored it, glad I did after seeing the reviews, total scam cos I ain’t with O2 anyway.

Yeah, got the same call from a bloke claiming to work for O2, saying I could get 30% off my bill for a year. He even sent me a text that looked like it was from O2 asking for a security code. He wanted me to read out the 6 digit code on the phone, but I wasn’t having it - didn’t feel right giving that info just on his word. He then said he could get a supervisor to confirm they were actually from O2, that’s when I just ended the call and blocked the number. Checked the number here and found all these warnings!

I've had a go at this three times now. Someone keeps ringing me, claiming they're from O2 and offering some sort of discount. They give you a code and want you to repeat it back to them, but trust me, don’t fall for it. I called up the genuine O2, and they advised against sharing any codes as this person could potentially access your device and personal account. Stay safe!

Received a call from this number, and the person on the line had an Indian accent. He tried to convince me that he could offer me amazing discounts on my phone bill, yet proceeded to ask me questions that O2 should have been familiar with. To make matters worse, he couldn't even provide my account number! So, I decided to play along and waste his time, throwing in all sorts of nonsense, which visibly irritated him-serves him right! It was quite amusing to watch him get all flustered, completely forgetting what he had said and losing track of his script. What a delightful experience. 😊 😃 😄
