10 yearsThis number has called me twice now. The first call was barely clear, and the guy had an accent that sounded Indian, so I just assumed it was an overseas call. They rang back later though, and after a lot of back and forth trying to understand what they were saying, I realised they were talking about a payout from my bank - something to do with a PPI claim for £2,439. They said they'd send me a cheque for £1,539 via FedEx, plus some cash on top. The catch was, to get the money, I’d need to pay the courier a 10% fee using an iTunes gift card! After a chat with my husband, we both agreed it smelt fishy, possibly a scam, so we ignored it. Better safe than sorry - if you never had it, you can’t lose it!FedEx10 yearsJust had this happen to me too, got the same answer - definitely some sort of scam going down here.10 yearsGot a call saying I’d won some sort of settlement from Natwest, something over £3,000. They said someone would come round at 3pm to verify my ID. I’d supposedly get a £2,000 cheque plus some cash on top. Then they told me the fee was 10%, but weirdly, they wouldn’t accept cash or cheque for the fee - it had to be paid with ITUNES vouchers. When I asked why, the bloke started shouting something in a foreign language and just cut the call. Definitely sounded Indian.Natwest10 yearsAnyone know if this number’s actually real? Just want to be sure before I call back.10 yearsOi Bob, did you try those out? We've got the same ringtone, haven’t we?Bob10 yearsI keep getting calls from this number claiming they have some money waiting for us in relation to PPI.
