10 yearsI’ve had a couple of calls from this number, and I must say, the first time the connection was awful. The chap on the line had a distinctly Indian accent, leading me to think it might be an overseas call. They rang me again, and after quite a bit of probing and piecing together the information, I discovered they claimed to have a £2,439 pay-out waiting for me from my bank related to a PPI reimbursement on a loan. They mentioned sending me a cheque for £1,539 via FedEx, along with the remainder in cash. The kicker was that they wanted me to hand over a 10% tip in the form of an iTunes voucher to the delivery driver to receive my payment. After having a word with my husband, we both suspected it was a dodgy scheme, so we opted to steer clear. After all, you can’t miss what's never been yours, and I'd rather avoid the risk of being swindled!FedEx10 yearsI’ve recently experienced the same situation with an identical reply, it’s clearly a scam that’s occurring.10 yearsI received a rather peculiar call, claiming that I'd won a compensation amounting to over £3,000 from Natwest. They mentioned sending someone to verify my identity at 3 o'clock today. Supposedly, I'd receive a cheque for £2,000 along with the remainder in cash. They specified a 10% fee, but here’s the twist: they insisted that payment could only be done via ITUNES vouchers, not cash or cheque! When I pressed for clarification, the chap began babbling away in a language I couldn't comprehend and then abruptly disconnected the call. He had quite an Indian accent, I reckon. Quite the dodgy setup!Natwest10 yearsIs this phone number genuine?10 yearsOi Bob, did you try those out? We've got the same ringtone, haven’t we?Bob10 yearsI keep getting calls from this number claiming they have some money waiting for us in relation to PPI.
