4 yearsSo, I picked up the phone and it was some call centre from India claiming to be Sky Loans Ltd. I’d actually put in an online loan application, but the amount they mentioned was nowhere near what I requested. I just played along at first. They said I’d have to pay £50 each month for five years and asked for bank details from an account I no longer use, supposedly for the loan to be sent into. Then they said I’d need a guarantor to get the loan. I told them I don’t have one, and the only other choice was to get insurance, which meant paying the first month upfront before they’d release the loan.
