I received a call from a woman with a strong foreign accent, who claimed she was representing O2, my mobile network. I informed her that I wasn't actually an O2 customer, and abruptly, she hung up while muttering something under her breath. Quite peculiar, really!

I received a call from a woman with a thick Indian accent, purporting to be from O2 and offering a reduction on my bill. I do indeed have an O2 account, but when they requested my email address, the sheer amount of background commotion raised alarm bells for me. It felt rather suspicious, so I decided to end the call.

I've had a couple of calls lately from an Indian gentleman who says he's representing O2, promising a whopping 40% discount on my bill. It really baffles me how these individuals manage to get hold of our phone numbers. It's absolutely bonkers to be inundated with these pesky calls!

I've received calls from this number five times over the past couple of days. I decided to pick up on one occasion, and all I could hear at first was a cacophony of background noise for nearly 15 seconds. After that, a woman started to speak, but her tone gave off an unsettling vibe that led me to suspect it was a scam. I didn't stick around and simply ended the call.

I just got a call from this number, and it had a spam warning next to it. My phone is set up to block most calls, so only landlines make it through. I've attempted to lift the block, but haven't had any luck. The whole blocked calls situation is a different can of worms altogether.

I received a rather puzzling call claiming I could enjoy a 30% discount on my bill, especially since my contract is up for renewal this month. Initially, I suspected it might be one of those promotional calls, so I decided to cut the conversation short and do a bit of digging online. Lo and behold, it turned out to be a scam!

Right then, let's have a natter about these pesky phone calls. I’ve recently had a couple of them myself, and I was quite curious to delve deeper into this matter. On the first occasion, I had a hunch it was all a con. What these tricksters tend to do is dangle the carrot of cash reimbursement, claiming there's been a bit of a mishap on their part, naturally. As part of their ruse, they’ll instruct you to place your mobile screen down on your router to ‘upgrade’ it. I mean, seriously! It’s baffling how many folks fall for this nonsense. While your phone's face is down, they're swiftly emptying your bank account! They’ve likely swiped your personal information from the Dark Web, including sensitive data like bank details. I was fortunate to have only left £70 in my account; the rest I promptly transferred to a mate’s. Once they’ve ensnared you in their web of deceit, they can hijack your phone and access your online shopping profiles, ordering a slew of Play Store vouchers. Fortunately, my bank reimbursed me the funds snatched away. The specifics surrounding the call were sufficient for me to get my money back. I genuinely hope this advice proves valuable. Just remember, whatever you do, do NOT ring them back under any circumstances! Thanks ever so much for taking a moment to read my thoughts. Best, Neil Thompson

Got a call from some dodgy bloke claiming to be from O2, obviously a scam. Had a thick Pakistani accent and called himself Dave, which made me laugh. I kept asking him what my name and address were if I was really their customer. He just ended the call on me! Tried to mess with him a bit longer but no luck. Just another crook trying to cheat people. Definitely not O2!

This number keeps ringing me on my phone, but they never leave a message, which makes me think they’re just dodgy. I haven’t picked up once! It’s really annoying how personal info gets shared around for stuff like this, it should honestly be outlawed. Loads of people out there are vulnerable, and it’s sad to think they might get caught up in these awful scams.

At first it showed up as O2 calling me, but then I got annoyed and decided to mess with them a bit. They passed me on to someone else, but that person just hung up. When I tried ringing back, it said the number wasn’t valid. Funny thing is, before they disconnected, I could hear voices in the background like there were a few people chatting.

They’ve been calling me constantly, barely letting me get a “hello” out before jumping into some 30% discount deal with O2. When I said something about it, they just cut me off. It’s really starting to get on my nerves.

Got another dodgy call from someone claiming to be O2 just now. As soon as they said that, I told them straight up they weren’t, and they hung up sharpish. Do these jokers really think people are that daft?

This number keeps ringing me non stop. First time I just hung up right away. But they keep calling over and over. I just ignore it now and don’t pick up. Tried calling O2’s fraud line but it’s always engaged. To give some context, a few months back these same lot got in touch with me and I kinda fell for it. They said I’d get a free phone as a gift. When the bank bill arrived, turned out they’d charged me £58! And I never even got the phone. DPD causing trouble again, it seems.

Someone rang me pretending to be from O2 and said I could get 30% off my phone bill. It all felt a bit pushy and like a scam to me. The caller was hard to make out and asked me to update my O2 password, which seemed dodgy.
