Received a rather questionable call about PPI refunds. The number is provided above for anyone wanting to follow up. The person on the other end, identifying themselves as Henri James, had quite a noticeable accent that was distinctly foreign! They asserted they were representing a PPI service. Seems dodgy if you ask me!

BEWARE OF SCAMS: This number purports to be associated with a PPI claims firm and claims they have received my application, promising a payout of £1,839-my choice of cash or cheque to be delivered by a local rep today. However, they insist on a 10% fee to be paid via UKASH vouchers, which I’m instructed to procure from nearby shops like the CO-OP.

Once I’ve acquired the vouchers, they want me to ring back, referencing my customer ID to confirm the purchase, which allegedly triggers the delivery of my funds.

But it’s a ruse! When I do ring back, they'll ask for the serial numbers on the UKASH vouchers. If I hand those over, I’d basically be giving away the value of the vouchers-essentially like providing cash directly. They'll cash in on that immediately, rendering my vouchers completely useless.

BEWARE OF SCAMS: I received a rather dubious call from this number, purporting to be a company dealing with PPI claims. They supposedly have my claim ready to be delivered today, offering me a sum of £1,839, payable in cash or cheque - my pick! The catch? I must fork out a 10% fee beforehand with UKASH vouchers, which they suggest I can conveniently pick up from the local Co-op or similar shops. Once I've acquired these vouchers, they insist I ring back with my reference number to confirm that I’ve made the purchase, so they can arrange for the payout. But here's the kicker - it's all a con! When you call them back, they'll demand the serial numbers from your UKASH vouchers. If you provide them, you’ve effectively surrendered the cash equivalent of those vouchers. They’ll access the funds instantly, leaving you with nothing but worthless bits of paper. Stay sharp, everyone! - Caller: PPI claim

I received a call from someone who purported to be from a PPI firm, insisting that they could send a cheque via courier today. However, they mentioned that I would need to fork out some cash for the driver first. Quite dubious, if you ask me!

DECEITFUL INDIVIDUALS. I would strongly advise against engaging with these people at any cost.
