Got a call from this number and ended up telling the police about it. A cop told me it was definitely a scam and wrote down what happened.

These idiots from 01442 780682 called me again today and threatened me. Earlier the same day, I got a call from 0203 286 4400 with the same rubbish about possible arrest. Just last Friday morning, another one from 0203 286 1060 tried the exact same scare tactic. Seems like they’re running the circuit at the moment.

My elderly mum got a recorded message threatening legal action and prosecution, supposedly from HMRC, which really frightened her. When I tried ringing back, there was no reply. Got a call from this number 02032861060 with a recorded voice saying I’m going to be taken to court by HMRC. I rang back and a bloke with a Chinese accent answered, warning me about some HMRC trouble. When I asked where he was calling from, he just hung up. Definitely a scam.

Got a call supposedly from HMRC saying there’s a court order against someone with a ref starting ‘T M’ and telling me to phone 0203 286 1060. The voice sounded kinda odd, like a computer trying to mimic an English accent. Sounds dodgy to me since HMRC usually send proper letters and their numbers start with 0345, not that one. Definitely a scam, best to just ignore it.
