I've been getting calls every day from this company, with different mobile numbers so I can't block them properly. They keep leaving voicemails too, even tho I've never shown any interest in what they offer. I signed up to donate £3 each month to Save the Children after watching a TV advert. Every month, I got a text thanking me for my donation, with instructions to text STOP if I wished to cancel. Recently, my situation changed financially, so I texted STOP last month. They replied, thanking me for my support and confirming no more payments would be taken. However, this month they still took the donation! I don’t believe it’s a scam or anything dodgy, just that it’s a real charity, but honestly, I wouldn’t use text donations again - they seem so hard to actually stop.

On my April bill, I noticed a couple of £3 payments linked to something called Cymba. It turns out this was after I sent a donation by text to a charity, and apparently that signs you up for ongoing charges without making it clear to you first. Vodafone told me there were two texts sent from them, each costing me £3. They advised me to get in touch with Phone Pay Plus at 03333 352630 to take my number off their list and cancel any future payments or messages. Hopefully this will prevent any more unexpected costs.

Right, so I rang this number from my home phone after noticing three separate £3 charges on my Vodafone bill back in March. They were super clear and explained it’s because I’ve signed up to give £3 a month to Save the Children. Turns out, they missed collecting in Jan and Feb, so they just took those two months plus March’s payment all at once. Checked my bills and it all matches up, so don’t worry folks - this is totally genuine!

I noticed £3 had been taken from my Vodafone balance without any text sent out from my phone. When I looked into it, Vodafone confirmed I hadn’t actually messaged that particular number at the time the charge appeared on my bill. They gave me a phone number and an email to get in touch with, but I kept pushing for them to just credit my account back the money that was wrongfully taken. The agent I spoke to even checked with his manager, and thankfully they sorted it by refunding me directly instead of me having to deal with those other contacts. I'm definitely warning my mates about this scam with Vodafone.

So I answered a TV ad and agreed to give £3, but then they kept charging me £3 more at random times. I hadn’t looked at my bills for ages, but this month I noticed the extra charges. I'm having a similar issue. A while back, I made a donation to a children's charity through my mobile. However, when I got my most recent bill today, there was an extra £3 charged that I didn't approve. Vodafone told me they can't reimburse the amount but have now blocked any further charges to my number via phone billing. They advised me to contact 08450829622 or email [email protected] to try and get a refund. It's really sad because honest charities suffer when incidents like this put people off from donating through their phone bills.

Recently, I went through something quite like this with Cymba, calling from 02032827898, who managed to take three separate payments of £3 from my Vodafone account. I reckon it might be linked to a donation I made once to a UN-supported charity for kids. Looks like these shady people somehow traced that and are now milking it. Loads of charges have popped up on my Vodafone bill linked to Cymba, but I never agreed to them. I looked into it and it turns out loads of others are having the same problem. I got in touch with Vodafone who promised to look into the matter and said they'd give me a number for Cymba, but I still haven't received anything. These extra fees seem to appear right after I made a donation through a mobile charity. Definitely won’t be using that method to donate anymore.
