I got a call from someone saying they were from Black Horse, and then they started asking for my address. Seemed a bit off to me.

Rather than just moaning about these scam calls, why not have a bit of fun with them like I do? I keep them chatting by feeding them made-up info just to mess with them. So far, I’ve managed to hold one on the line for nearly an hour, 51 minutes to be exact. I’m aiming to break the hour mark soon! If you fancy, you could even toss in details of some bankers, officers, or solicitor mates - might actually help catch these dodgy lot in the act!

A man called me saying I was owed about £2200 back from a PPI claim. I asked if it was some kind of scam, and he named some official-sounding organisation. He told me he'd call again in a few days to sort out sending the cheque. When he called back, I said I couldn’t talk, and he said he'd try again on Wednesday 20th November at 10am. Let's see if he actually rings then. I didn’t share any personal details, but I’m curious what the scam part might be.

Got a call from a bloke saying he wanted to send me a cheque for £2750 because of some wrongly told PPI thing. He already had my name and address but asked me for my date of birth. I told him to send me an email instead since I’m not giving out personal info on the phone. Never got any email and when I rang the number back, it just didn’t connect at all!

Got a call from this bloke who said I'd won £2750 or something, he already KNEW my name and where I lived but asked for my date of birth! He mentioned something like "blame.uk" and said they’d phone back the next day to sort out sending the cheque. Felt a bit fishy if you ask me!

Got a call minutes ago from some folks looking for someone else. I told them they must’ve got the wrong number, but then they insisted "No, this is definitely you, right?" Seriously? I’m pretty sure I know who I am. Honestly, they came across as really rude and pushy.

Got a call saying my PPI claim was successful. They said they were with a firm named Canary Claims and asked for my address, postcode, and date of birth. They mentioned an address, 78 Beckham Rd, BR3 4RH, but it doesn't exist on Google Maps. I've reached out to https://www.canaryclaims.co.uk to confirm if they're actually trying to reach me. Honestly, why the government can't crack down on people renting out numbers for scams is a mystery to me. They really need to fix this!
