2 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be my mobile company, but they never said the actual name. They said they could give me half off my bill each month. There was a strange pause before they started talking, like they were ringing loads of folks all at once. Since the number looked like a landline, I just answered like usual - clever way for them to get people to pick up. I've blocked the number now!2 yearsBeen getting calls from a +44 20 3261 2--- number, third time now and twice just today! Oddly, the call cut off as soon as I picked up. Blocking them as spam doesn’t seem to help much. Once they’ve got your number, they just switch to different ones and keep phoning with their scams. Honestly, whoever’s in charge of handing out these numbers needs to sort it out. Seems like a whole batch has been given to some dodgy lot, or maybe the scammers have somehow managed to get hold of them illegally.2 yearsGot a call from a number I didn’t recognise, no message left. Cheers to everyone who shared their experiences here. Marked it as spam and blocked now.2 yearsSCAM ALERT - Someone will answer and get your details like your name and email, then hand you over to another person who asks for your home address. After that, they’ll send money to your place (which actually belongs to someone else who’s been scammed), and you’ll be told to forward it abroad. This is just their way of covering up where the money originally came from. DON’T GIVE THEM YOUR INFO, they probably share it with other scammers too.BEWARE2 yearsSomebody rang me saying they were with 3.Submit Your Own Report (020 3261 2303)
