The tactic appears to involve them gathering bits and pieces of personal information from you over time, only to then use it to impersonate you for their own financial benefit. Just be cautious! Received a call from someone claiming to be Johnny from an electrical services firm-had a bit of a foreign lilt to his voice, quite possibly Asian. He was hell-bent on cutting costs for our business, but didn’t seem to grasp that we weren’t interested. In the end, I had to hang up on him, as he just wouldn't take my refusal for an answer.

In the past week alone, this number has bombarded me with 17 calls! The individuals on the other end have been quite discourteous and, honestly, rather confrontational. Each time I express disinterest in what they’re selling, they persistently call again, probing for explanations. One particularly audacious caller even had the nerve to ring me back just to chastise me for hanging up! They purport to represent npower. I’ve reached out to npower directly, and they are now looking into the matter. - Caller: asserted to be from npower.
