Got calls from a pushy and rude person with an Asian accent who just wouldn't take a hint and leave me alone. This feels like something the police should get involved with because there’s loads of calls from numbers like this, and they all seem to be from the same background. Pretty sure it's a new scam going round. They try to slowly gather bits of info about you over time without you realising, then use that to pretend to be you and swindle money. The number ringing is 02032557890.

Received a call from someone claiming to be Johnny from an electrical services firm-had a bit of a foreign lilt to his voice, quite possibly Asian. He was hell-bent on cutting costs for our business, but didn’t seem to grasp that we weren’t interested. In the end, I had to hang up on him, as he just wouldn't take my refusal for an answer.

This number has rung me 17 times in the past week. The people on the other end are really pushy and quite unpleasant. When I said I wasn’t interested, they actually rang again just to ask why not. One bloke even phoned back to give me a telling off for putting the phone down on him! They said they were from npower. I’ve gotten in touch with npower and they’re now looking into it. - caller said they were from npower
