I received a phone call from some chaps claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs, informing me that I was on the brink of being arrested due to supposed errors or fraudulent activity regarding my taxes. They insisted that I needed to make a payment straight away to avoid jail time. Thankfully, my husband was right there and took the phone from me, telling them to shove off! He realised it was a scam, while I was utterly terrified. Honestly, I was completely bamboozled!
