They tried calling about a loan but it was definitely a scam.

Today at about 4:26pm I got a call and rang back around 4:45pm. When I asked who was calling, the person responded with “Let me check...” like they were searching my info. So I told them they were probably from a loan company and to please stop calling. They phoned again immediately, so I blocked the number. I’ve had around half a dozen annoying calls today on two separate mobiles. This has been going on since 2011 and involves groups like Wimbledon Guild of Social Work, Need More Time, and Commsave - all with the same directors - plus Initial Advice Limited, who I’ve never dealt with. I retired in March 2012 but took some advice in late 2011 and applied for a Commsave loan around that time. Despite returning to work a few years ago under my pension conditions, Initial Advice and Need More Time have kept pestering me about my pension pot and lump sum for a decade, calling me on various phones. Calls restarted again on one phone in March 2019 and another in August 2020. One social worker involved got struck off and another faced restrictions and several tribunals. The last tribunal for the disbarred one was May 2021, and for the other, Social Work England put something unpleasant online about him during his appeal. Over the years, I’ve had hundreds of calls, sometimes as many as 14 in just a couple of days.

Avoid giving out your bank info at all costs! They said they were a loan firm, so I gave them some cash and my bank details. Honestly, don’t trust this lot - it’s definitely a scam!

Called me earlier today, said they can lend me £2500 but I have to cough up £120 first for some kinda insurance. They said it’s a 'secure' loan or something. Total joke, obviously a scam!
