Got a robotic voice on the line, threatening to arrest me and mentioned some “warrant number.” They never even asked who they were speaking to. Total scam, obviously. Please don’t ring back the number, it’s 100% a phishing trick!

They ring me almost all day, like from early morning 7 right up till 10 at night, sometimes ten times in a day. I’m just letting it go to the answer machine since we don’t pick up, but not once have they left a message. Isn’t the TPS supposed to stop this? What’s going on with them?

i got a robo call pretending to be hmrc saying theres a warrant out for me and gave me this number to ring. i looked up the official hmrc site and it said to call them at 0300 200 3311 instead, so watch out!

i just got back from my holiday and found a message on my answerphone like the one described here. it wasn’t a very pleasant thing to hear and honestly, it made me a bit worried. i haven’t tried calling the number because it didn’t seem trustworthy at all.

My elderly parents got a call from some automated voice saying HMRC had issued a warrant for their arrest, even gave a warrant number and a phone number to ring back. It was really upsetting for them. If you ever get a call like that, don’t ring the number they give - instead, just get in touch with HMRC yourself to check.

Got a robo call sayin HMRC’s got a warrant for me or summat, with a number to ring and a 'warrant number'. If you’re stressted, don’t ring that - best to check with HMRC direct through their official website number instead.

Got a call from a robotic voice claiming to be HMRC, saying there’s an arrest warrant against me unless I ring 020 3239 8200. If you genuinely need to contact HMRC, make sure you use the number 0300 200 3310 or one you find on a legitimate gov.uk site. Don’t fall for these scams!

I received a recorded message that claimed to be from the police, asserting that there was a warrant for my arrest related to HMRC matters. It’s clearly a scam.
