We've recently been approached by a company claiming they could secure a substantial sum for us as part of a PPI refund. However, they made it clear they wanted us to pay up front. It's all a bit dodgy, if you ask me!

We received a call from the same number, so we thought it best to look it up online and here I am! An overseas lady introduced herself as Rose Peterson, but her accent didn't quite fit the name, if you catch my drift. When we peppered her with questions, she became quite evasive and refused to share her phone number. Instead, she suggested we speak to someone named Jennifer Smith, which we pointed out is a rather typical name. Yet, she seemed too dense to understand our point!

I recently received a call from a lady with a foreign accent, possibly Pakistani. She mentioned something about receiving a cheque for £4200 from the government related to bank charges and PPI reimbursements. She urged me to contact her manager right away and even gave me a code to reference. Sounds a bit dodgy, doesn’t it?

Oh, how peculiar! We encountered the very same situation as detailed previously. After glancing through a few comments here, we opted not to return their call.

Received a curious call today from someone claiming to be affiliated with the government. They insisted that I was owed a refund of £4,000 due to bank overcharges. They asked for quite a bit of personal information, including my mobile number, date of birth, and bank details. I found it all rather dubious, so I opted not to share any of my information. The chap on the other end had a notable foreign accent and urged me to ring back on 02032397330, mentioning an application reference 'R14'. Definitely felt like a scam to me!

Just received a call moments ago from someone claiming to be from an Indian number, stating that the government is issuing refunds for PPI amounting to over £4200. I found it rather peculiar that they mentioned the government instead of the bank. They provided a code and instructed me to contact a supervisor to approve the cheque. Naturally, I did a bit of digging for the number, and here I am-definitely not going to engage with that!

We received a call from this number and the individuals on the other end said exactly what they told us before but insisted we keep it hush-hush from our family and friends. This honestly makes me a bit dubious about the whole situation. If anyone could shed some light on this, I’d be most grateful. Cheers.

I received a phone call earlier today at precisely 15:24, but the number was concealed. The caller claimed that I'm eligible for some £4,800 from the UK Government-what a laugh! After a quick verification of the details, they told me to ring back and speak to either Dominic Walters or Jennifer Smith. It's clearly a colossal waste of time-a downright scam! The phone company ought to put a stop to this nonsense and shut down operations that enable such fraudulent activities.

We've just experienced a rather peculiar phone call claiming it was from the government of the United Kingdom, promising us £4,281. At first, it seemed all too good to be true, and rightfully so, as it raised a few red flags. The caller seemed to know an unsettling amount of personal information, and her accent suggested she wasn't from around here. When we asked her to send a cheque, she insisted we needed to ring a number and provide a code first. She did mention her name, but it was quite muddled and hard to catch-something along the lines of Mr. Something or other. Naturally, we decided to dig a bit deeper and searched for the number. And here we find ourselves!

I recently received a call from this company, and I can't quite fathom how they managed to obtain our details. As soon as we were asked to ring the number they provided, we promptly declined and hung up. It's quite baffling!

Indeed, just a mere moment ago, I had a rather unsettling encounter with a chap from overseas. He cited reference R14 when suggesting I give them a bell tomorrow. To my surprise, he had knowledge of my name, address, and even my date of birth. It left me feeling rather uneasy, I must say.

We’ve recently received a call from a withheld number claiming that we are due a sum of £4,800 from the UK government. They asked whether we preferred a cheque or a direct bank transfer, and we opted for the cheque. The caller then gave us a reference number along with this phone number to ring in order to have the payment released. However, when we’re truly entitled to such funds, it’s typically the case that a cheque and a letter from the government would arrive unprompted. Can we trust this? It seems rather dubious.

I received a call today that was exactly the same as yours. They asked for our date of birth and insisted that we ring them back tomorrow after half past ten with some code. Apparently, a chap on the other end was meant to hand us a cheque for £4,800. I can’t help but wonder why our date of birth is relevant in this situation?
