We received a call from this number, with someone introducing himself as Brendon and claiming to be from Microsoft’s Technical Support. He mentioned there’s a severe issue with our computer. It feels rather dodgy, and we suspect it might be a scam designed to gain access to our device, though we can't be entirely certain.

I’ve been taken in by a scam, and trading standards are now alerted. If these individuals call again, it's best to just hang up immediately.

We experienced something quite similar just recently. We asked a few questions and she ended up giving us her work number and whatnot. To be honest, we weren't aware of this website until we reached out to a mate for their thoughts on whether this was dodgy or not. They had a quick look here and, crikey, what a brilliant resource! Brandon mentioned she'd get back to us in about ten minutes-this should make for a rather intriguing chat!

I've had a couple of calls from this number purporting to be from a firm named Global I.T. Technology. The chap on the line was incredibly hard to understand due to his strong Asian accent. He insisted that our computer was sending out dire error messages and that our hard drive had been compromised by a virus capable of destroying everything. He urged me to log on and grant their technicians remote access to sort the issue out. Seemed very dodgy to me, and I'm quite wary they might try and clean out my bank balance. I'll be reaching out to Trading Standards and the like.

I received a rather unsettling call from a lady named Stella, who informed me that my computer was suffering from a severe infection-something far more menacing than just a mere virus. To be honest, her accent made it quite difficult to follow the conversation. Initially, she claimed to be representing some online tech support for Windows, then she pivoted to say she was from Global IT Technology. When I mentioned I wanted to verify the company before proceeding, she provided me with the number 0203 2396593. Curious about the cost, since my husband had once been asked to fork out £400 for a similar "service", I pressed her for details. She insisted it was all free of charge and kept urging me to power on my computer. Granting her the benefit of the doubt due to the "free" nature of her offer, I complied. However, I decided to terminate the call when she insisted I enter 'eventvwr' after pressing Windows-R.

I’ve just experienced something rather similar - a call from Global IT (GIT, naturally made me wary) claimed that my computer was bombarding their system with error alerts. I conversed with a couple of gentlemen, both of Asian descent, who were attempting to guide me through granting them remote access. Miraculously, I managed to snag their number during our conversation, as my caller ID only indicated it was an International call. Astonishingly, it matches the number mentioned in this thread. After receiving a code from one of them, I made sure to inform him I would ring him back, all the while pretending to enter the six-digit code. To my frustration, he abruptly hung up on me at that moment, and I was absolutely furious! I’ve reported the incident to the appropriate authorities! How maddening!

I received a call from this number, claiming to alert us to error messages on our computer. The gentleman on the line insisted he was from Microsoft Technical Support and was there to assist us in resolving the issues. When we inquired about the operating system we were using, he replied with an incorrect version. We also asked for the phone number he was calling from, and he gave us this number. Curiously, when I asked for his name, he replied with "Peter." I found the whole situation rather dodgy, so I haven’t bothered to return the call.
