Once again, I received a call from a rather peculiar character purporting to be "Kevin", who seems to think he’s some sort of circus entertainer rather than a serious business caller. He was keen to have a gander at my contract, but let’s just say the words that came out of my mouth were quite colourful! This definitely isn’t the first time this number has intruded upon my peace.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Worldpay, talking about credit card machines. I decided to check the number on this site first. Then, I asked if they were actually Pay Matrix, and she claimed they were a subsidiary or something like that. When I started doubting it, she just ended the call. I've blocked the number since then.

They told me to press 1 if the charges were legit or 2 if I wanted to freeze my card. Didn’t fall for it, didn’t press anything. Rang my bank straight after and there was no unusual activity at all. This feels like that same annoying caller who always rings about energy providers, but today it was about credit card machines. I tried to get the company’s name so I could report them for phoning a number on the do not call list, but their accent was so thick I couldn’t understand a thing.

I received a rather perplexing call from an Indian chap who was keen to have a word with the business owner. Unfortunately, the line was so fuzzy and his accent rather thick that I couldn’t make heads or tails of what he was saying. After several attempts on my part to get him to repeat himself, he decided to disconnect the call. All in all, it was a bit of a waste of time, but in truth, I don’t think I would have been interested in whatever he was pitching.
