9 yearsA friend of mine fell victim to a cybersecurity breach, and these blokes managed to swipe £1200 from his account. Best advice - don’t pick up the phone when these tricksters call. They're dodgy as they come!10 yearsI received a call from this number claiming to be from a company I'd supposedly dealt with regarding my computer last year. When I asked them to repeat themselves, they insisted they were no longer in business but promised to issue me a refund. The only way to confirm their legitimacy, they said, was to contact their headquarters in Australia, which felt like a wild goose chase. I ended the conversation right there.Australia10 yearsThis individual is definitely a fraudster. In a fit of outright threats and foul language, he ultimately confessed that he intended to show up at my home and carry out unspeakable actions towards my daughter. I reckon he was inebriated, to say the least. Initially, he claimed that my daughter had supposedly paid £249 for Microsoft Word and antivirus software back in 2015. He insisted that due to the company's relocation to the States, he was looking to refund her. While it’s true she did buy Word around that time, it wasn’t for anything near that amount. I suggested simply refunding the original account, but he then insisted my daughter necessary to fill out some form either online or via phone. When I asked him to send it via email, he rudely responded that I shouldn’t be overseeing her dealings. I promptly told him I’ll manage my affairs as I see fit, which only set him off more. When I called him out, he shockingly admitted to being a scammer. I’m left wondering how on earth he got hold of this information, considering he's based in India.MicrosoftStatesIndia10 yearsReceived a rather peculiar call today from someone with an accent I couldn't quite place. Claimed to represent TalkTalk. Naturally, I decided to verify this with the proper channels at TalkTalk, and they confirmed no such call had been made. I've taken the liberty of looking into the number further.TalkTalkSubmit Your Own Report (020 3239 5989)
