They kept ringing me up loads of times saying they were with BT broadband. They told me there was some issue with my computer affecting the line and that they needed to turn it off. When I asked for more details, they tried to get me to log into my computer so they could show me the problem. Seemed really dodgy to me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from British Telecom, telling me there were errors with my computer and router. They wanted me to access my PC, but I wasn’t falling for that, so I just ended the call. Tried ringing the number back, but it was dead, definitely not an official BT number. Marked it as a scam right away.
