Received a call from 01498747195, claiming to be from BT, stating that my broadband was being compromised by hackers. He insisted I go online immediately! When I requested some sort of verification, he redirected me to 02032394973, which is clearly a dodgy number. Steer clear of these scammers and don’t engage with them!

this guy called me with a really strong Indian accent, claimed he was from BT in Newgate Street, London. but when i looked up the number, it came from 01726 395445 instead. his accent was so thick i could barely catch what he was saying, but he told me my computer was hacked and asked me to switch it on. he kept calling me "ma'am" and when i asked him to use my name, he just dodged the question, which made me think he didn't actually know me at all. if he was really from BT, surely he'd know who i was. felt like one of those dodgy scam calls to me.
