I've received various calls from different numbers. One message came from 02203987233, claiming I had a warrant out for my arrest. It's all too easy for them to say just to brush it off, which is precisely what I did, but honestly, these scammers ought to face legal consequences for their actions.

Received a rather alarming call from this number, insisting there was some grave issue at hand, warning of potential imprisonment and even execution if I didn’t contact another number (which wasn’t recorded, mind you). The call was taken by an elderly individual and could have been quite distressing for them.

What a dodgy scam! I've had enough; every call now heads straight to my voicemail so I can screen them beforehand. Seems to be the same story as many others on here. Well done, Unknownphone.com, for your continued efforts. Cheers, Robk!

I just got a voicemail from someone saying they were HMRC, on number 02032394484, calling about WC4589. Honestly, it freaked me right out.

This is a proper frightening scam, mate. Don’t bother ringin’ them back. They’re just tryin’ to have a laugh, there’s no warrant or anything like that out for you.

Got this call out of the blue from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying I owed tax money and that they were going to come after me. Felt really intimidating.

Got a voicemail from this number claiming I had a warrant out for my arrest or something. When I rang back, the bloke asked for my full name and where he could send the info. I stayed silent and then he just ended the call. Definitely don’t answer if they ring you. Anyone know where these scams can be reported? Would hate for someone like my dad to fall for it.

I’ve just received a rather alarming voicemail from this number, claiming that there’s a warrant out for my arrest, the usual scare tactics. Naturally, I decided to ring them back. A bloke picked up and started asking for my name and where he could send more information. I didn’t give him anything, and he promptly ended the call. Please, for the love of all things sensible, steer clear of these people. Just disregard that message entirely. Is there a place we can report this nonsense? It’s concerning to think that someone like my dad could fall prey to such a con.

The same number texted me with that warrant reference too. Tried ringing them back but no answer at all now!

Just returned home to find a bizarre message on my answering machine claiming there's a warrant out for my arrest and that I was supposedly informed by post. What a load of nonsense! Honestly, it's best to disregard these clowns who clearly have too much time on their hands. They should really think about finding themselves a proper job instead.

What a shoddy effort at a con! They purport to be from HMRC and go on about some sort of impending legal action - as if that’s going to scare anyone. Just disregard it! Absolutely pathetic behaviour from these individuals.

Just like so many others, I got one of those automated calls telling me there’s a legal claim against me and to ring HMRC at 020 3239 4484. I was pretty certain it was dodgy, but you never can be 100%. Then I checked out some of the other comments and that confirmed it was a scam.

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying there’s an arrest warrant WC4589 out for me and not to ignore it. I rang the police on 101 to check and they told me it’s a scam and the number was actually a premium rate one. Best just to ignore calls like this.

Received a rather concerning call from this number earlier today. The voice on the message, which was clearly automated, asserted it was from HM Revenue and Customs, alleging I was facing charges for tax fraud. The call was recorded on my answering machine on the 26th of September. I suspect this might be a fraudulent scheme.

We encountered precisely the same situation this morning, complete with threats of legal repercussions. Honestly, we’re quite baffled by the whole affair-definitely a wake-up call! It’s rather appalling to think what could have happened if an elderly person had been caught up in this mess. The possible fallout could have been extremely serious!

I got a call from some automated voice claiming to be HMRC, saying there’s a legal case filed against me. It even gave me a warrant number and told me to ring back on 02032394484. They warned me not to ignore the message, but it’s a total scam. I found an article from March 2018 in The Sun about this exact thing. They try to scare you into panic and then ask for your bank info. Definitely don’t return the call!
