An elderly family member received a call from this number, where they were told they were in big trouble and might even face prison or worse if they didn’t phone another number (which wasn’t saved). It sounded really threatening and could’ve been quite scary for someone older.

Just like loads of folks have said, it was pretty freaky. I gave it a miss and ended the call. Tried blocking the number using 1572 but somehow a totally different phone number popped up, so I couldn’t block the actual scam caller. Yet that dodgy number still showed up on 4471. Proper annoying!
