Hello Jim! No need to fret; we actually had a call from the same number. These folks are legitimate and truly assisted us in recovering our funds. We initially forked out over £2000, but it was worth it. They managed to get us a whopping £6800 back in our bank account! Just wanted to reassure you.

As a personal assistant, I’ve recently witnessed my employer fall victim to a distressing scam, losing nearly £1,000 in the process. The whole saga revolved around a supposed payment of £2,000 related to payment protection insurance. They bombarded him with calls, continually asking for further sums: "just another £200, then £400, and so on," all while posing as representatives from the London County Court. They assured him the cheque was just around the corner, only to claim that previous payments had vanished into thin air. It got even more bizarre when they changed their phone number, leaving him in the dark until they set up a new line to pursue him again-this time demanding an additional £400! Take this as a cautionary tale: never hand over any cash to unsolicited callers without thoroughly checking their legitimacy. If someone claims to represent the London County Court, don’t hesitate to ask for their address and confirm if the number they’re using is indeed genuine!

We were completely taken aback to discover that we had been duped out of £199.00 earlier today, and we're still trying to wrap our heads around it.

It appears I may have fallen victim to a fraudulent scheme. I've stumbled upon multiple instances where individuals in London have received cold calls from purported county court officials asking for Ukash vouchers in return for promises of a hefty cheque that never shows up. These con artists are known to post on forums like this one, trying to create an illusion of authenticity. However, I can assure you, it’s all a ruse. I urge anyone caught in a similar situation to reach out to Action Fraud at 0300 123 2040 and report the matter to the local police. And for heaven's sake, don’t part with any more cash!

Nicola hit the nail on the head; this definitely comes across as a scam. An elderly gentleman from down the street recently received a similar ring linked to that number and ended up shelling out over £2000 across several weeks. He’s been advised to ring the number and request to speak to a Kevin Parker on Extension 147, providing a voucher number every time he makes a payment. The local constabulary has now taken up the matter and are looking into it.
