Right after I put up my ad on Gumtree, I got a proper nutcase on the line. They said they were ringing from the Motor Insurers Bureau, which is meant to be an official lot, but this felt like straight-up fraud. The bloke on the phone was just having a laugh hurling insults at me. Plus, I kept getting calls from 0282082822 with the exact same voice each time. Honestly, these must be dodgy scammers, probably not even from London. Need to raise a complaint with Gumtree about this nonsense.

Then he started with weird questions like, “Could you have been a passenger then?” I just told him no and ended up hanging up and blocking his number straight away.
