Got a call from a robotic voice saying it was HMRC about some important letter they supposedly sent me (which is total rubbish). They wanted me to press 1 to talk to someone. Definately sounds like a scam to me.

I received a rather suspicious call today, with a mechanical voice purporting to represent HMRC. They claimed to be following up on an 'important letter' they'd supposedly dispatched to me, which is absolute nonsense! They then instructed me to press 1 for an 'officer'-at that point, I decided it was best to hang up. Definitely sounds like a scamming attempt to me!
