Had a ring earlier from some foreign call centre claiming to be BT about my internet speed dropping recently. The bloke kept pushing for permission to run some speed test on my connection. He sounded like he was just reading off a script, talking over everything I said and never actually listening. Got a bit annoyed when I wasn’t cooperating, saying he was just tryna help me out. He insisted I pause whatever I was doing and turn on my PC so he could do these checks. Even asked about how many gadgets we have hooked up to the internet at home. Then, out of nowhere, he just hung up on me!
