I received a call featuring a rather artificial-sounding woman’s voice, clearly trying to mimic an American accent, announcing that I'd hit the jackpot in the US lottery. I was instructed to press 1 for more details. Curiosity got the better of me, so I went ahead and pressed the button, only to find myself chatting with a gentleman of Asian descent. I promptly mentioned that it was strange to hear about a lottery win since I’ve never participated in such activities. Without missing a beat, he hung up the phone. Clearly, this was nothing more than a blatant con.

I received a call with a synthetic female voice, clearly in an American accent, claiming I had won a massive lottery prize in the States. The message prompted me to press 1 for details. Curiosity got the better of me, so I did, only to be greeted by a gentleman with an Asian accent. I mentioned how curious it was for me to receive such news about a lottery win, especially since I don’t even participate in the lottery. To my surprise, he cut the conversation short and hung up on me. It's blatantly a scam!

Got a voicemail saying I've bagged a US lottery prize of £150,000, asking me to ring 0018447289200 - which apparently links back to Thame in the UK. My guess is if you ring them up, they’ll pressure you to deposit a few hundred quid into some account before they'll release the 'winnings'. Sounds like a total con to me!

Got a robo-call saying I’d won £150,000 or something, but it just cut out right after. Ended up blocking the number straight away. Pretty clear it’s just another scam. Sadly, it feels like nobody ever really does anything to stop these, scams have become so normal now.
