If I were to disconnect, they threatened that my case would be escalated resulting in my arrest! Naturally, I decided to stay on. Eventually, a chap came on the line inquiring about the purpose of my call. I mentioned that I was responding to their call. He then requested some of my personal details, to which I replied, "Who are you then? How can I be sure this isn’t a scam? I haven’t committed any tax fraud!"
