Somebody called claiming to be from O2. They said they'd send me a passcode number and then asked me to give it to them. Seemed dodgy to me.

He claimed to be representing O2 and while we were speaking on the phone, I received a verification code. He then requested that I share this code with him, which immediately raised my suspicions, so I ended the call. I've learned my lesson and won't be disclosing any codes to anyone!

Claimed to be O2, but I reckon it’s a number rerouted through a London prefix, probably originating from overseas. It could be linked to one of those American candy shops popping up around London, using a busy local number to look genuine. They even contacted O2 asking them to send me my old account code, but since I don’t use O2 now, that raised a red flag. Just keep your wits about you with stuff like this.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, told them I’m not with O2 and they just ended the call on me. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Somebody called me saying they were from O2, offering to lower my bill. I could hardly catch what he was on about, and the moment I asked him my name, he just cut the call. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Some bloke said he was ringing from O2, but when I told him I’m not with O2, he just cut me off. Sounds like a total scam to me.

The person on the other end insisted he was Michael from O2 and went on about offering me a generous 40% reduction on my existing plan. Fortunately, I don't actually have a contract with O2, which led me to suspect he was up to no good. Clearly, this caller was trying to pull a fast one!

While I was visiting my elderly mum, her phone rang and it was some weird silent call. The person on the other end didn’t say a word, so I just ended the call after a bit. Mum wouldn’t have been able to handle a chat with them anyway, but seriously, why do they even bother ringing?! It’s so frustrating!

Sound was all crackly and unclear. A bloke on the phone claimed he was Michael from O2, but I’m not even an O2 customer. I ended the call straight away. Pretty sure it was a scam.
