Received a rather unexpected phone call this afternoon from a woman who initially sounded quite genuine and rather cheerful. However, as soon as she mentioned she was calling on behalf of HMRC, the alarm bells started ringing. It quickly spiralled into an uncomfortable situation once I started probing further. Just a word of caution to everyone - stay alert!
