I found this number online while trying to get my McAfee antivirus up and running but it just wouldn’t activate. Turns out the McAfee site must’ve been fake too because when I rang, the lady kept going on for nearly 40 minutes about how my computer was at risk and that I’d need a firewall package for £60. After a while I just told her no and ended the call. Funny enough, the 30-day McAfee trial we installed last week (while waiting for our yearly subscription) was actually working fine the whole time.

I reckon it’s one of those scams trying to pass off as McAfee antivirus.
