I tried calling the number they gave me about some washing machine warranty, but it just wouldn’t connect. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

This woman actually knew my name when she called, claiming she wanted to renew the warranty on my washing machine. She never mentioned which firm she was from though. She asked me to verify my postcode, which she got spot on, but I didn’t give it to her. Her attitude was a bit off, calling me ‘my love’ which isn’t professional at all. The moment I told her I wasn’t interested, she just hung up. When I tried calling back, the number didn’t even exist.

They hung up on me, so I tried ringing them back only to discover the number wasn't even in service!

somebody called me saying my warranty for the washing machine had run out. they claimed to be from “white goods: uk,” but i couldn’t track down any business by that name and the number just rang out when i tried calling back. what gave it away was them saying they could “renew for less,” which sounded dodgy, and when i asked for my policy number, they suddenly couldn’t provide one and then quickly ended the call. definitely a scam - stay clear.
