They said they were from BT tech support, but definitely werent. I nearly got them to tell me the number they use to call back, which started 07937. Sounds like a mobile, no way BT would use that. Was obvious they were trying to scam me into giving access to my PC and card info, all under the guise of selling some antivirus.

Last week I got a call from an Asian bloke who said his name was Max and he was ringing about my computer, supposedly from Windows. I told him straight up I knew it was a scam and warned I'd be reporting it. He just ended the call. Definitely report stuff like this to Action Fraud on 0300 123 20 40 to help stop them.

So this bird rings up saying she’s from Microsoft or Windows or something like that, not quite sure which one. Seems like the classic Microsoft scam anyway. I decided to switch it up and said I had a Chromebook instead, just to see what she’d say. Didn’t even bother asking how they got my number, especially since I’d moved after getting the laptop. After I kept telling her Chromebooks don’t run Windows, she finally gave up and hung up. The caller was a woman, sounded like she might’ve been Indian or from around there.

I’ve been using the Call Guardian thing on my BT phone, and it really makes it easier to just let these nuisance calls ring out. Also, I check sites like this one to see what others say about the number, then I just block the number straight away instead of returning the call. Calling back can sometimes clue them in on when you’re home, so I avoid that now. It’s a bit of a pain to clear a few unknown numbers every day but at least I’m not stuck listening to annoying telemarketers anymore.

One trick I've found to stop annoying callers is blowing a loud whistle near the phone - it's pretty uncomfortable if it's close to your ear. Got a call from someone saying he was 'Mike from Microsoft' about my computer. I quickly shut him down by telling him I knew it was a scam and that Microsoft wouldn’t have my current phone number, plus I haven’t even used my PC online in ages. They've been ringing me loads tonight, at 6.09, 7.31, 8.03, and 8.39 - that's just for today! These calls come nearly every day. I bought one of those call blocker gadgets off Amazon for about £30, and honestly, it's the best money I've spent. Even though they keep trying, my phone just flashes a light instead of ringing, thanks to the blocker. Still, it's pretty frustrating having to deal with this all the time.

Only got two calls this morning, one at about 8.32 and the other around 9.14. Luckily, I’ve got this BT8500 phone that automatically blocks these kinds of calls. Honestly, it’s the best purchase I’ve made because it saves me from all those annoying interruptions.

Got a call just before 8 in the morning, the caller had a thick accent which really made me anxious since I don’t usually get calls that early. Thought something was wrong with my family. There honestly should be stricter rules about this, especially cos it’s upsetting for older folks who get these calls too.

At around 3pm on 17th September, I got a call from this number claiming they were from Talk Talk. They said there was a problem with my phone line and wanted me to log onto my computer to fix it... I told them “do you think I’m daft?” and they actually said yes, lol. Seriously, what’s the best way to put a stop to these scammers mucking about and cheating people?

Over the past few weeks, this number has rung me up quite a few times. Sometimes the caller claims to be from Windows, other times they say it's First Solutions, and once it was some other company I couldn’t quite catch because of the thick accent. I’m sure it’s a scam and I always tell them to stop calling my number. But it’s pointless - they just ignore me and end up calling again the same day, or the following day, or even a week later. Such a pain!

Here’s my experience...
In just a day and a half I got 13 calls like this, and four of them were from this number: 02031577156.

I thought registering with the TPS or whatever it’s called would help, but it’s been useless.

The police just tell me to report it, but honestly I feel powerless, and these calls are only getting more frequent.

Really need some advice... sometimes I just wanna grab their phone and throw it right back at them!

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Living Life, but he messed up my name completely. He gave me an address that was wrong then asked for my address and name. I asked him why he needed it and he kept pressing for my postcode too. I told him straight up I don’t share personal stuff with strangers, but he kept pushing for just the postcode. When I refused again, he got really rude and just hung up on me. Total scam, watch out and don’t hand over your info!

Got loads of calls from them today, and their English was just terrible, definitely not from the UK. They kept saying something about my computer, but I don’t even own a PC, just an iPad! This is such a scam, just hang up straight away and make sure you report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 20 40.

Called me twice now, once today and once yesterday around the same time. They just hang up as soon as you pick up. After seeing what others have said, this number seems dodgy enough to report to the cops. Definitely going to be more cautious with any unknown calls from here on out!
