Got a call claiming to be from EE, saying they could slash my mobile bill to just £11 a month with unlimited everything. It sounded suspiciously cheap, so I asked how long the deal would last. They kept saying my number and contract wouldn’t change, only the price, and that the rate wouldn’t go up for a year. When I pressed about what would happen after that year, all I got were vague answers. Since I’m not even tied into an EE contract, and they couldn’t possibly lower my bill like that, it’s clear this was dodgy and probably a scam.
