Got a call from someone saying they were a mate with news about my car after an accident. They told me they’d sorted something with the other driver, but the problem is I never got their details cause they drove off. How can they say they’ve recovered anything when no one knows who the other party is? Quite fishy if you ask me.

This number called me out of the blue saying my car damage from a crash just a couple days ago was worth £500. I told them that was impossible cause no one had looked at the car yet. Then they started talking about £1500 for my injuries, but I haven't made no injury claims at all! Quite strange and a bit fishy if you ask me.

My missus reported a small bump in a hospital car park and then got a call on her mobile from these lot the next day. Once it became clear there was no other party involved to go after, they promptly ended the call and the line’s now always engaged. This feels like one of those dodgy insurance firms flogging off what ought to be private info to shady companies just to make some extra cash. If this number rings you up, best just cut them off and don’t share anything personal.

Today my mother-in-law got a call from this number, and then it started ringing me and my husband too, talking about a car accident from last year. What really freaked us out was that they seemed to know all our names and who was driving at the time. We weren’t hurt at all so we never filed any claim, but they told my mother-in-law there was £1500 for each of us ready to be claimed. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got a ring from this number saying they were with my daughter’s insurance firm. They said if we stuck with our solicitor it'll take half a year to sort the case and get paid, but if we switched to them it could be wrapped up in a month. Didn’t seem right though, cos they said they were from the insurance company, not some legal outfit! Tried calling them back but the line’s always busy.

Got a call from someone saying they were representing a woman’s insurance after she supposedly hit me on my motorbike. They kept saying I'd be getting paid in about six weeks, but then started asking loads of questions about the accident, which made me think they weren't really sure what was going on. When I told them I already had solicitors handling everything and didn’t want to discuss it further, they didn’t seem too happy. I’ve heard that some firms like the RAC might pass accident info to third parties. Sounds dodgy to me, definitely a scam. Blocked them straight away.
