Had a phone call from a company claiming to be Anglia Energy Solutions, saying they were operating in our locality. There's a similarly named firm that’s based nearby, so I was a bit suspicious right from the start. I inquired how they obtained my number, given that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service. They mentioned that such numbers are usually filtered out, but occasionally one gets through the net. They then offered to remove my number from their list, which I accepted. It's rather odd to receive a call from a London number on behalf of a supposedly local company; it makes me wonder if they’re doing it on a contractual basis. Regardless, they've lost my trust, and I would never consider purchasing from them. It could easily be a scam to gather active phone numbers-especially considering they seemed to know my address.
