I came across this number on their website for general queries: 0203 147 8000. Their address is: Fredrickson International Limited, PO Box 260, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 0YH. They’re also registered at Ellington House, 9 Savannah Way, Leeds, LS10 1AB, with company number 2679522 in England & Wales. I’m planning to write them a legal warning, saying I’ll take action if they send me any more unsolicited texts. They could easily send a formal letter instead of bombarding me with random messages. Proper daft behaviour.

For the past week, I've been getting daily texts telling me to ring this number. When I looked up Fred Rickson, it showed a totally different 0845 number to call. I also got a letter claiming I owe Vodafone money, but I'd already paid off that bill! I contacted Vodafone directly, and they confirmed my account is clear with nothing owed. They mentioned the letter might have been sent before the payment went through, but actually, the letter came a day after my account was settled and closed. Vodafone told me to ignore the messages and that they'd probably stop, but I'm still getting the texts regularly. I've just signed up on their site and sent them a message telling them to stop contacting me since I don’t owe anything - now just waiting to hear back.

Turns out, it’s a debt collection agency that seems legit, but if there’s no debt involved, this feels quite wrong to me.

If it was something legit and important, especially about money owed, I’m certain they’d already have loads of info about me - like where I work, my personal details, even stuff as bizarre as my leg size. I find it hard to believe they’d be so polite asking me to ring them up! Best thing is just to block and forget about it, they’ll stop after a while.
