Complete scam! I got a call supposedly from HM Revenue and Customs, saying they were taking legal steps against me and I had to press 1 to get details. But for starters, it’s now His Majesty’s Revenue, not Her Majesty’s since the Queen passed away. Then on top of that, the automated voice sounded American, which seemed off. Plus, I’m well aware HMRC usually sends letters, not calls. Also, they had no clue about my name or any tax details. I didn’t press anything and just blocked the number straight away!
