I keep getting calls on my new phone from London numbers starting with 020, but I haven’t got a clue who any of these callers are.

What a dodgy situation! This chap attempted to flog me a bargain-basement iPhone 12, but all he was after were my banking details. I cheekily told him I was expecting a transfer from a Nigerian prince who’s sending me a few million quid. I then suggested he ring me back in a few days to check if the funds have landed in my account before I accepted his oh-so-generous proposal. Honestly, these scam artists are just a bunch of lowlifes!

I got a call and there was only quiet for a bit, then they just ended it quite quickly.

Got a bloke claiming he was from Car Phone Warehouse, trying to get my card info and bank details. I told him no way, then he kept ringing me like 7 times after that. Proper annoying!

I received a call from a chap who ominously warned, "Leave me be or I'll end you."

Got two calls from a number I didn’t recognise, but they never said anything or left a message. Pretty strange.

I just let it ring through and then ended the call. Figured I’d chuck it into the report list anyway.

I got a call AGAIN from someone saying they were John at Carphone Warehouse. He had quite a strong Indian accent.

Got a ring from Carphone Warehouse earlier, trying to sell me a new mobile.

I received a call on the 31st of August 2021 from a man with an Indian accent who asserted that he was representing Carphone Warehouse. He was attempting to sell me a SIM card package.

I picked up the phone to a chap with an Indian accent claiming he was ringing from Carphone Warehouse. He was offering me the iPhone 12 Pro Max for just £30 a month on a two-year deal, saying they’d settle my current contract with Sky and that I’d have a two-week grace period to rethink my decision. Despite repeatedly asking if I could ring them back later, he dodged the question every time, pushing hard to get me on the new contract and waving around the 14-day grace policy like a flag. When I inquired about my existing device, an iPhone 11, they assured me I could keep it. It felt a bit too good to be true, if I’m honest! I mentioned I needed to work and couldn’t chat long, to which they promised to send me some information via email. After digging a bit, I contacted Carphone Warehouse and they confirmed this was a scam, as they don’t even work with Sky! I quickly forwarded the suspicious email (without opening any dubious attachments) to Action Fraud and reported it as phishing. Curiously, when I asked for the bloke’s name, he just said "Steve," but when I pressed for a surname, he claimed it was Steve Rogers-which I later realised is Captain America's name! I blocked the number, yet I’ve still received calls from a mobile and even a voicemail from the original number! I’ve also changed my email password out of caution, as I panicked about having given out my email. Just a friendly warning to others-stay vigilant!

I've received five voicemails in just a few minutes... and in one of them, I could hear them chuckling, which was just bizarre!

I received a rather unsettling phone call from a gentleman who had a distinct Indian accent. He ominously warned me to vacate the premises, or else he would take drastic measures against me.

Steer clear of this number; it's nothing but a scam.

They kept ringing me over and over again all day long.

So I’ve been getting calls about house insurance recently, but from what I gather it all depends on what deal they’re pushing at the time. Apparently, I’ve also been offered stuff like Life insurance, free iPhones, Carphone Warehouse deals, and even car insurance. At least that’s what they say!

They claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, but I haven't had any contact with them since I got this phone number. When I asked how they had my details, the person on the line got really rude and hostile. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I’ve reported it to the ICO.

Today I saw two missed calls but wasn’t able to answer. When I rang back, the call just kept ringing non-stop. Proper frustrating!

I ended the call straight away - seemed dodgy, probably just scammers gathering numbers from anyone who picks up, then passing them on to other fraudsters.

Some people rang me offering a phone or a sim contract, but once I said I wasn’t interested at all, they got really rude. Honestly, they started speaking proper nasty. Just don’t pick up if you don’t want hassle from these lot.

This number has rang me a few times today, about three if I remember right. I couldnt pick it up cause I was busy at work. When I tried to ring back later, the phone kept saying the number was no good. Weird!

Just received an unexpected call about twenty minutes ago, but I can't seem to return the ring. Does anyone have a clue what this could be about?

Just received a call from this number roughly twenty minutes back, but I let it slip through. They’d rang a few days prior as well, but honestly, I couldn't make out what they were saying-it really came across as a dodgy spam call.

I just let a call slip through my fingers... Attempted to ring back, only to be met with an automated voice insisting that the number I'd dialled was wrong. Quite the nuisance, really!

Out of the blue, I received a call.

I received a call claiming to be from "The store where I purchased my mobile." They insisted that I provide my credit card information to verify my identity, promising me phone deals for under £30. I've since decided to block this number.

I received what seemed to be a rather dubious offer for an iPhone 12 Pro Max, supposedly from Carphone Warehouse, at a mere £20 a month. This isn’t the first time I’ve had such a call - it’s becoming all too familiar! Usually, the callers have quite a distinct Indian accent. However, they promptly ended the call as soon as I probed about whether they’d be requesting my banking information. Quite fishy if you ask me! I've already flagged this with EE, who advised me to be cautious. Don't be swayed by their charm!

When I answered with a 'hello?', all I could hear was an odd murmur in the background.

I've been getting persistent phone calls from individuals pretending to be associated with Carphone Warehouse, and I can tell you, they aren't legit. I never pick up when I see their number; it's just not worth the hassle!

I've just missed a call from this number for the second time now. When I attempted to return the call, I was met with a recording stating that the line doesn't accept incoming calls. I'm now inclined to believe this might be some kind of nuisance caller or spam.

I've received several calls from this number, but I've never managed to pick up as my phone is nearly always on silent mode. When I try to return the call, it invariably ends up with a "call failed" message. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

I received a call purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse, allegedly about some SIM offer. However, I've certainly never shared my current number with them, so I was immediately suspicious. Once I inquired about how they obtained my details, the chap on the line-who had an Indian accent-turned quite hostile and seemed rather aggressive. I've gone ahead and reported this to the Information Commissioner's Office.
