I keep getting calls on my new phone from London numbers starting with 020, but I haven’t got a clue who any of these callers are.

Total con. Some guy rang me offering a bargain iPhone 12 but really just wanted my bank info. I told him I was holding out for a Nigerian Prince sending me a few million, so I’d need him to ring back in a bit once I had the money sorted. Proper scammers, the lot of them!

I got a call and there was only quiet for a bit, then they just ended it quite quickly.

Got a bloke claiming he was from Car Phone Warehouse, trying to get my card info and bank details. I told him no way, then he kept ringing me like 7 times after that. Proper annoying!

Got a call from some bloke who just told me to "back off or I'll kill you." Proper frightening!

Got two calls from a number I didn’t recognise, but they never said anything or left a message. Pretty strange.

I just let it ring through and then ended the call. Figured I’d chuck it into the report list anyway.

I got a call AGAIN from someone saying they were John at Carphone Warehouse. He had quite a strong Indian accent.

Got a ring from Carphone Warehouse earlier, trying to sell me a new mobile.

On the 31st of August 2021, I got a call from a guy who said he was with Carphone Warehouse, trying to sell me a SIM deal. The bloke sounded Indian. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, claiming he was ringing from Carphone Warehouse. He was pushing this deal for an iPhone 12 Pro Max on a two-year contract for £30 a month. He also promised to cover the cost of my current Sky contract and mentioned a 14-day ‘peace of mind’ return policy. I kept asking if I could ring them back instead, but he dodged the question every time and kept trying to sign me up then and there, constantly talking about this 14-day thing. I was curious about my old iPhone 11 and asked if I could keep it - he said yes! It all just felt a bit fishy. I told him I was busy working and asked him to email me the details instead. Later, I checked with Carphone Warehouse themselves and found out this was a scam since they don’t work with Sky. So, I sent the suspicious email they sent me (no attachments opened) to Action Fraud for phishing. When I asked the guy's surname, he just said “Steve” again, then finally said his full name was Steve Rogers - which my partner pointed out is the name of Captain America! I’ve blocked the number, but I’ve gotten calls from a different mobile number and even a voicemail from the first number I blocked. I changed my email password straight away because I was worried mine was compromised after giving out my email address. Definitely watch out for this sort of thing!

Within just a few minutes, I've got about five missed calls and voicemails from them. One of the messages even had them chuckling - proper creepy if you ask me!

This bloke rang me up speaking with an Indian accent and told me to piss off or he’d end up killing me.

Don’t answer that number, it’s a scam for sure.

They kept ringing me over and over again all day long.

So I’ve been getting calls about house insurance recently, but from what I gather it all depends on what deal they’re pushing at the time. Apparently, I’ve also been offered stuff like Life insurance, free iPhones, Carphone Warehouse deals, and even car insurance. At least that’s what they say!

They claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, but I haven't had any contact with them since I got this phone number. When I asked how they had my details, the person on the line got really rude and hostile. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I’ve reported it to the ICO.

Today I saw two missed calls but wasn’t able to answer. When I rang back, the call just kept ringing non-stop. Proper frustrating!

I ended the call straight away - seemed dodgy, probably just scammers gathering numbers from anyone who picks up, then passing them on to other fraudsters.

Some people rang me offering a phone or a sim contract, but once I said I wasn’t interested at all, they got really rude. Honestly, they started speaking proper nasty. Just don’t pick up if you don’t want hassle from these lot.

This number has rang me a few times today, about three if I remember right. I couldnt pick it up cause I was busy at work. When I tried to ring back later, the phone kept saying the number was no good. Weird!

About 20 minutes ago, I received a call from an unknown number but when I try to ring back, it just won’t go through. Has anyone got a clue what this could be about?

About 20 minutes back, my phone rang from this number but I wasnt able to pick up. They’d actually tried calling a few days earlier too, but I couldnt really make out what they were saying, seemed like a scam or something.

Got a call just now but missed it. When I tried calling back, a robo-voice came on saying the number I dialled wasn’t valid. Weird.

I got a call from someone saying they were from where I bought my phone. They asked for my card info to verify me, claiming they could offer deals under £30 on my phone. Didn’t seem right, so I blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, pushing an iPhone 12 Pro Max for £20 a month. They've rung me several times before, usually the person on the line speaks with an Indian accent. When I asked if they needed my bank info, they quickly ended the call. Sounds pretty dodgy to me. EE already tipped me off about these types of calls - don’t fall for it!

I answered with a quick "hello?" but all I heard was some weird background noise, no one actually speaking.

Got a call from a blocked number, they wanted to charge me 1p on my card to verify my identity or something. I told them yeah right, as if I'm gonna give my card details out. They kept ringing a few times too, but I’m not falling for that!

I keep getting calls from these scammers pretending to be from Carphone Warehouse. They ring me loads, so I just ignore them now.

They called me twice but I missed both times. When I tried ringing them back, I got a message saying that the number can't take calls. Seems like it’s most likely spam to me.

I’ve tried ringing them a few times but they never pick up, probably because my phone’s often on silent. But when I try to return the call, it keeps saying call failed. Strange!

When I asked how they got my details, the bloke with an Indian accent suddenly got really rude and aggressive. I’ve since reported the whole thing to the ICO.
