5 yearsDidn’t pick up when I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise.5 yearsI usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know, had a look here though, and they’re blocked now.5 yearsWatch out, got a call on my landline and then again on my mobile from someone with an Indian accent who actually used my name. Said they were from Microsoft and it was Easter Saturday or something, warning me about some fraud happening on my computer. They asked to connect to my device to fix the issue. Told them to jog on straight away, and one of them unleashed the worst swearing I’ve ever heard once they realised they’d been rumbled.Microsoft5 yearsI received a rather peculiar call from a woman who claimed to be representing Microsoft. She was prattling on about numerous errors supposedly emanating from my computer, which struck me as quite odd since I haven't switched it on in ages. When I asked her how it was possible for there to be issues if the device was off, she insisted they could still receive reports. I quickly realised it was nothing more than a ruse, likely followed by some offer for dubious services to "fix" the non-existent problems. I firmly told her I was aware of her little scam and promptly hung up. However, to my astonishment, when I picked the receiver back up moments later, there she was, still yammering away. I repeated my request for her to vanish, which thankfully she finally did. I promptly blocked her number.Microsoft5 yearsGot a call from a guy who spoke with a really thick foreign accent, trying to talk about fixing our computer - problem is, our computer works just fine.5 yearsSome bloke told me my computer had loads of problems, so I just told him to go jump.5 yearsGot this call from someone claiming to be online tech support.
