Someone rang me up acting like they were from BT and already knew my mobile number. The person sounded to be from South-East Asia. They said my IP address had changed from private to public and insisted I needed to sit by my computer so they could guide me through some supposed 'fix'. I hung up right away, but then I got another call from a lady with a similar accent claiming she was a manager. She sent me a text as ‘proof’ they worked for BT - but since they had my number already, that didn't convince me at all.
