Got a call saying my washing machine warranty was about to run out, but the last four digits they gave me kept switching every time I asked. Felt really dodgy, like a scam or something. Didn't trust it at all.

This number has been calling me two or three times a day over the past few days. I kept ignoring it since I didn’t know who it was, but eventually got annoyed and decided to pick up. After a brief silence, a man with an Indian accent asked for me by name and said he was calling from ‘Appliance warranties direct’. He was quite courteous, but I had to make it clear a few times that I wasn’t interested. In the end, he seemed to get the message, wished me well and ended the call. I’m not sure if it was a scam, but it definitely felt dodgy. Really frustrating!
