Ringing me daily, sometimes multiple times throughout the day. Each time, I’m met with silence on the other end.

An utter tosser rang our home earlier, claiming to represent Silvermere, which I’ve noticed has cropped up in other comments too. He was after my mum, the resident here, and she’d already told him to ring back later, her usual tactic to dodge these nuisances. I inquired about the purpose of his call and how I could assist him, but the numpty insisted it was just my mum he wanted to chat with, and I should go fetch her. I pressed him again to clarify why he was calling, making it clear I wasn’t going to pass the phone to her without knowing the reason. The bloke then became incredibly cheeky, sniggering and saying, “Oh, so you’re the son? The protective little lad, eh?”
Honestly, the level of rudeness from this chap was simply appalling.

I've been receiving calls from this number time and again for several years now! Despite repeatedly explaining that no one here answers to the name they're after, they persist. I've made countless requests for them to take our number off their list, yet it seems to fall on deaf ears. These annoying, clueless individuals are quite bothersome. It worries me that they might be reaching out to elderly or vulnerable folks, causing them distress or fear. What's the way to put an end to this nonsense?

What’s the best way to prevent this number from contacting me?

I've had these chaps pestering me sporadically for the last few months, harping on about the necessity of investing in luxury wines. No matter how many times I assert my disinterest and request to be removed from their contact list, they simply won't take the hint. My usual response is just to say, “I’m not interested, kindly take me off your list,” before hanging up. It’s as if they’re impervious to rejection; their persistence is rather baffling!

Got a rather dodgy call from a telemarketer, claiming to represent Elite Fine Wines. Seems a bit suspect to me.

They rang me claiming to be from "Silvermere" and actually had my address on hand. They mentioned wanting to send me some information and requested to verify my details. When I inquired about the nature of this information, they said it was regarding low-risk investments. I reminded them that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and expressed my displeasure at receiving such calls. However, wouldn’t you know it, not even five minutes later, they called again, causing my little one to wake up for the second time. Absolutely infuriating!

I received a call from a firm claiming to be Elite, and the caller seemed to know my husband's first name, which threw me off a bit. When I probed them about their identity and whether my husband had any dealings with them, the person on the other end became quite impolite. They told me I shouldn’t be so defensive about answering calls. I found it rather off-putting!

I received a rather unpleasant bunch of calls from these so-called wine merchants. I asked them to cease contacting me, yet they persisted, ringing me five times in a single day! It’s utterly intolerable and they ought to be put out of business.

Best not to engage, just put a block on that number. It's a rather impolite and overly aggressive sales pitch.

Received a call today from a company identifying themselves as "Silvermere." They wanted to chat with my partner, using his first name, suggesting they had a conversation with him last year. They mentioned they were marketing agents and had a bit of information to share with him. When I indicated he didn't recall their services and wasn’t keen to engage, they oddly replied, “Is that his stance or just yours?” Quite taken aback, I promptly ended the call.

I received a call earlier, and the person on the line inquired about my husband by his first name. When I informed them he wasn't around and offered to take a message, they simply disconnected without any further ado. Quite impolite, if you ask me.

Received two phone calls in the span of just two days from some outfit calling itself "Silvermere" Marketing. They were keen on promoting investment options that supposedly yield returns of 8-12%! The sales representatives were quite assertive and spoke with a level of polish that felt oddly rehearsed. Quite the charmer, but I’m not buying into it!

This number has rung my home phone five times over the past week. Each time I answer, it disconnects on its own. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

It seems that the investment bond scammer mentioned isn’t registered with the FCA, despite the claims made by certain individuals. Just a word of caution here: don’t be misled by their assertions, as they’re definitely not above board!
