Just like mentioned earlier, I looked up the number here and, thankfully, they didn't get back to me.

I got a call saying it was Sky and Openreach coming to fit my broadband on Thurs 18 Feb, but they said because of covid they'd only do stuff outside the house. They asked to reply "keep" to confirm or "change" to reschedule. Thing is, I don't have any Sky order with them, so I’m pretty sure this is a scam.

got a text saying it was from sky about my install date but the day they mentioned was a day off from what i was told. kinda odd where they pulled that from. the message felt a bit weird compared to old texts i’ve had from sky before, which always come with the sender name ‘sky’ instead of just some random number. decided not to reply and just deleted it straight away.

Hey, got a message saying it's from Sky about a covid-19 update. They're saying they'll do everything outside when they come on Wed 16 Dec. The text asks to reply with 'keep' to confirm or 'change' to postpone. But the dodgy part is they write "sky" instead of a phone number, and there's loads more chat about coronavirus in the message. Seems like a typical scam to me.

Got a text about a sky install I never asked for (already a customer too!?) I’ve sent a complaint to abuse@skyl###. Didn’t even press any link or anything!

Got a message saying it was from Sky, confirming an appointment or something. I’m not even with Sky, so pretty clear it was a scam.

On 22nd November 2020, I got a text from this number saying it was from Sky. The message even mentioned my real appointment date and told me to reply with "keep" to confirm it. I didn't bother texting back because the number just seemed off. Later on, it struck me that Sky wouldn’t use a number with a London dialling code anyway!

Just got a message purporting to be from Sky, suggesting I could either KEEP or CHANGE my reservation. Did a bit of digging online and, lo and behold, my hunch was spot on - total scam! It's rather disconcerting that my booking details seem to be floating around for anyone to see. What steps is Sky taking to tackle this issue?

I received a genuine text from Sky regarding my installation confirmation. I had a chat with their customer service on the phone, and they did some digging to verify the number, assuring me it was indeed authentic. I texted back 'YES' to all their messages after they put my mind at ease, and everything seems to be in order now.

I've received an incessant barrage of eight text messages purporting to be from Sky, insisting that I arrange for broadband installation, despite the fact that I already have it sorted.
