I got a phone call saying my National Insurance number was gonna be suspended and that I’d be taken to court. They told me if I needed help, I'd have to ring the number they gave and quote some reference code. They said that would sort everything out for me.

I've reported this to Action Fraud and HMRC already. They keep ringing from a London number and leave voice messages. Definitely a scam. Make sure you also report it to the police through Action Fraud.

Got another call from someone claiming to be HMRC, total scam again. I tried ringing back, but it just beeped, then a voice came on saying it was officer Ron Smith or something. Hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they’re with hmcr about my national insurance number. They went on about some claim against it and that if I didn’t act now, I’d be in front of a magistrate. It was this creepy robot voice with a strong American accent. Total scam, just block and ignore!

Received a dodgy call that left a voicemail warning me to ring back immediately or it would look like i was dodging court and that my national insurance would get frozen. Seems like a classic phishing trick. I made sure to report the date and number to HMRC so they can keep tabs on this scam.
