They claimed she’d done something dodgy with VAT and National Insurance and threatened court action unless she rang them back. This number left me a robotic voicemail saying it was from the HMRC legal team, warning about some EAO and threatening legal action if I didn't get back to them. They said it was my final opportunity to reach out. Definitely a scam, so I blocked the number straight away.

0203 137 5583 Surprisingly, this guy picked up and actually got my name spot on, nearly nailed my birthday too! But as soon as I questioned the date, he just hung up. Honestly tempted to call back and mess with them a bit! Serves them right, give them a bit of their own medicine!

I got a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC, warning me this was my final chance to sort out an issue before the magistrates court gets involved. When I rang back, this guy with a really strong Indian accent started shouting about a warrant for my arrest and said the police would be at my door within 45 minutes - then he just slammed down the phone! Proper scam, really nasty behaviour!
