Got a call the other day from someone wanting me to take part in a phone survey. When I asked which firm they were with, he muttered something that was hard to understand. The chap was polite enough, but it’s still a bit annoying. About half a year ago, I said yes to a genuine survey from Ipsos Mori, but they began ringing me up all the time, so I asked them to stop. I have a feeling they’ve passed my number onto some other survey company.

Got a call from 0203137548 claiming it was a political survey. They asked my husband about who he planned to vote for, his age, education, and where he lives. My husband wasn’t having any of it and said his political opinions are private. Then the caller rudeley said, ‘Alright, I’ll let you get back to your antidepressants now, sir!’ What a right knobhead. Blocked them straight away - this is the second time they’ve called and it’s just harassment.

We’ve opted out of directories and are registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet it’s like they’re completely ineffective. What’s the use, really? We’re in the midst of mourning a loved one, and on top of that, we have to deal with this nonsense! When you try to return the call, a voice message claims that mailbox 1081 is full - how bizarre and rather suspicious, don’t you think?

I cannot believe the audacity of these people! They’ve managed to ring both my wife’s mobile and our home phone at the same time! It’s painfully clear they’re up to no good - total scammers! We have never given permission for any sort of contact, whether it be emails or unsolicited calls, and we certainly won’t now! It’s utterly unacceptable that they’ve somehow got hold of our private Ex Directory info. My wife recently lost her father, and we have no desire for this kind of nuisance. The number is apparently registered in Southampton, but when I attempted to ring back using 1471, I was met with a message saying their 1081 mailbox was chock-a-block! A young woman on the other end identified herself as part of a group named Survation, and she was apparently gathering opinions on voting preferences in York.
